How to Develop Leadership Structures – Texas System of Care Toolkit

How to Develop Leadership Structures

The heart of a system of care is the governance structure that is put in place to operationalize system of care values. No one person or organization has the time, staff, expertise, or money to single-handedly improve children’s mental health in their community. It is imperative that agencies, organizations, family, and youth come together to create innovative and sustainable solutions for their systems of care. Authentic and intentional partnering creates an environment in which meaningful communication, pooling of resources, and collective accountability occur among all key stakeholders in a community. This module will discuss governance board structures and provide recommendations, examples, and tools to enable community leaders to plan, design, and launch their unique SOC governance board.
